Engagement objective

StratComm has been engaged by WHO SEARO to update the Ready Reckoner, a vital resource designed to operationalize the WHO Guidance on Climate-Resilient and Environmentally Sustainable Healthcare Facilities. The goal is to ensure the Ready Reckoner remains relevant and aligned with evolving global health commitments, emerging environmental issues, and the latest WHO initiatives, such as the COP26 health commitments and WASH FIT 2.0.

Our process

Our approach for this will be collaborative and methodical, ensuring that the updated Ready Reckoner serves as a user-friendly and dynamic tool for stakeholders across different tiers of healthcare delivery. 

We will begin with a comprehensive review of the current Ready Reckoner to identify gaps, outdated information, and areas for improvement. Key updates will reflect emerging issues like COP26 health commitments and the latest WHO publications. The process will also involve stakeholder consultations and feedback and designing of the final document. 

The updated Ready Reckoner will continue to serve as a comprehensive guide for healthcare facilities to enhance climate resilience and environmental sustainability, adapting to the unique contexts of WHO SEARO member states.
