Engagement objective

StratComm was engaged by CREA, supported by UNFPA, to develop a training manual for elected representatives working at the village level. This manual was designed to enhance their understanding of Masculinities and Power, offering practical insights to support community-level initiatives.

Our process

Our approach centered on a collaborative and iterative methodology, ensuring the final product met CREA’s specific needs. Through this structured process, we aimed to provide a valuable resource that aligns with CREA’s mission and enhances the effectiveness of their training programs.

The project unfolded in two main stages:

  • Content Development: After gaining a deep understanding of the context in which the manual would be used, StratComm crafted the content based on a detailed outline co-created with CREA. Regular reviews and consultations ensured the content was aligned with the project’s objectives and was clear and relevant for the intended audience.

  • Design and Branding: A design template was developed in accordance with CREA’s branding guidelines. Key considerations for the design included ease of use, incorporating simple graphics and photographs as needed, to create a visually engaging and user-friendly manual.

Key outcome

The final deliverable is a comprehensive training manual in English. It explores the intricate dynamics of power, the pervasive impact of patriarchy and the construction of masculinities, equipping leaders with the knowledge and tools to promote inclusive, gender-sensitive governance and effectively implement policies that address gender disparities. The manual is designed to be a practical, accessible resource for village-level representatives.
