Engagement objectives

StratComm was engaged by IPE Global, under the RajPusht initiative supported by the Government of Rajasthan (GoR) and the Children’s Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF), to develop and design a series of knowledge products focused on improving maternal and child nutrition outcomes. These products aimed to document and communicate RajPusht’s comprehensive approach to addressing Low Birth Weight (LBW) and Wasting through Direct Cash Transfers (DCT) and Social and Behaviour Change Communication (SBCC) interventions.

Our process

Our approach involved close collaboration with the RajPusht team to ensure the knowledge products accurately captured the program's impact and aligned with stakeholder expectations:

  • In-Depth Discussions: We held detailed discussions with RajPusht point persons to gain a thorough understanding of the program’s objectives, successes, and on-ground experiences. These conversations were critical in shaping the content and ensuring the knowledge products reflected the program’s key wins and lessons learned.

  • Content Development: Using insights gathered from these discussions, StratComm developed content that highlighted RajPusht’s achievements and best practices. The content was crafted to meet the diverse needs and expectations of the target audience, including policymakers, donors, and community stakeholders. High-resolution photographs and reference documents provided by the RajPusht team were integrated to enhance the visual storytelling.

  • Design and Branding: A distinct visual language was developed for these products. The design focused on creating visually engaging and user-friendly layouts, making the knowledge products both informative and accessible.

Key outcome

  1. Overview of the SBCC Package: An overview of RajPusht’s SBCC strategy for improving maternal and child nutrition.

  2. A detailed toolkit describing Rajpusht’s Journey: A visual documentation of RajPusht’s SBCC interventions, capturing the program’s holistic approach across five districts. This document provides a brief step by step guide to support other organisations desirous of undertaking similar efforts,

  3. Compendium of Practice Stories: Good practices were spelt out in a learning notes series. Each note captured the process, insights and impacts demonstrated by each practice.

These knowledge products serve as valuable resources for national and international stakeholders, documenting the success of RajPusht’s interventions and offering insights for replication in other contexts.
