Engagement objectives
Project Concern International (PCI), in collaboration with IIPS and the University of Texas at Austin, undertook research on the family planning behaviours and choices of young couples in rural Madhya Pradesh and Jharkhand. PCI engaged StratComm to translate the research into accessible, audience-specific knowledge products for policymakers, researchers, development organisations and other stakeholders.
Process
StratComm worked closely with the PCI, IIPS and University of Texas Austin teams to understand the research and identify the most relevant ways to communicate its findings. We reviewed the draft research and supporting documents, developed product outlines and established a common visual language across the suite. The approach combined clear data visualisation with human-interest stories and ethnographic insights, with each product designed around its intended audience and format.
Key Outcomes
The engagement resulted in a suite of multi-format knowledge products designed to make the research more accessible and useful beyond academic audiences.
Phase 1 included the main research report, two state-specific pamphlets, two thematic briefs and three blog posts.
StratComm also developed additional Phase 2 products, including a qualitative report and a resource book focused on the research methodology.
