SBCC Package for Adolescent Health

Over the last few years PFI has been working with and for adolescents through transmedia initiatives such as Main Kuch Bhi Kar Sakti Hoon and communication packages. As adolescent health gains priority in the sector and governments and NGOs design interventions to cater the adolescent needs, PFI seeks to consolidate its work on SBCC with adolescents in the form of package which can be used by all. In addition, PFI is implementing a project in Sitapur, Uttar Pradesh, with an aim to strengthen the RKSK programme and create demand for the Adolescent Friendly Health Clinics (AFHCs) called Saathiya Kendras.
We are working with PFI in conceptualising and developing a comprehensive adolescent health SBCC package, a distinctive set of resources designed to work in tandem with RKSK. The package being developed in Hindi includes innovative games and job aids for peer educators and counsellors, in addition to existing PFI materials for facilitating learning and behaviour change.
