Process Document: Advocacy Communication and Accountability Project
Population Foundation of India
PFI's Advocacy Communication and Accountability (ACA) project builds on the process of communitisation initiated with the launch of the National Rural Health Mission in 2005. It puts people at the centre by providing space for them to participate and provide regular feedback on the progress of the NHM interventions in their areas, thus contributing to strengthening health services.
We studied ACA’s work in Bihar to provide a cohesive narrative on the processes, outcomes, case studies of change, lessons learnt and implications for scaling up. This detailed narrative serves as a learning resource for teams within the organisation and informs other such interventions within it.
