Advocacy Toolkit for SEAR Countries - Infection Prevention Control and WASH in Healthcare Facilities
World Health Organization
StratComm is collaborating with the World Health Organization (WHO) to develop an advocacy toolkit for Infection Prevention Control (IPC) and WASH in healthcare facilities. The toolkit will support individuals and organisations to advocate for IPC and WASH especially for healthcare workers and patients who visit the healthcare facilities.
Through a process of desk review of WASH and IPC data and status of implementation of guidelines in SEAR countries, as well as consultations with key stakeholders, StratComm will develop a toolkit which will provide key questions for reflection and discussion, a ready reference for developing an advocacy plan as well as tools to support users work their way logically through the different stages of an advocacy planning cycle. The toolkit is envisaged as a comprehensive reference for advocates working on IPC and WASH for healthcare facilities. StratComm will also develop an online training module aimed to orient government officials and other stakeholders on how to use the toolkit.
